since the base funds for this event are being gathered from the community, they get to go back into the community.
New opportunities
We would like to offer booth locations to local businesses, artists, and creators, to present a space they might not have been able to have previously. There will be no fee for booth costs, and we are looking into rentals/borrowing extra canopies as well. Each vendor is obligated to have the correct permit.
why all of the changes?
In years past, this event along with many others have seen a steady decline and are being forgotten about. Do you remember Lakefest? Maybe Earthfest? These along with many others have been lost over time and our community is having fewer events to come together for. The goal is to hit the refresh button and work with the community to give our all, for our community.
It might be different to us now, but the base organization is modeled after the original concepts from the beginning in 1953. Aspects like moving the celebration back to 8th street, showcasing all bratwurst companies in the area, and more! After that, the plan is still growing and adjusted based on ideas from businesses and many excited sheboyganites!
